Reflexology

I am so impressed with Michelle's Reflexology service that if I lived in her city I would have a session every month!

WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?

Reflexology is an ancient, noninvasive therapy technique that uses gentle pressure on the feet to bring about a state of relaxation and assists the body to restore its balance naturally.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Reflexes on the feet correspond to the organs and glands in the body and by activating these points, it stimulates the energy pathways in the body. If these pathways are blocked, reflexology aims to unblock them, allowing the energy to flow freely again, this helps to restore balance in the body. By using specific reflexology techniques, one directly affects the nervous system in a very positive way. When the body is relaxed and the nervous system regulated, healing has a perfect opportunity to take place.

WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Its roots can be traced back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. This therapy was not introduced to the West until Dr. William Fitzgerald developed Zone Therapy in the early 1900s. He believed that reflex areas on the feet and hands were linked to other areas and organs of the body.  In the 1930s, Eunice Ingham further developed this Zone Therapy into what is known as Reflexology. Her opinion was that congestion or tension in any part of the foot is mirrored in the corresponding part of the body.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REFLEXOLOGY SESSION?

This session is a restorative blend of energy work, Himalayan bowl sound therapy, and reflexology to help release energy that no longer serves your highest well-being.

We begin with a short, guided meditation to center your awareness and set your personal intention for healing. From there, Himalayan bowls are placed on the body allowing their resonant vibrations to bring your nervous system and energy back into balance. As your brain waves synchronize to the harmonic tones, the body and cells naturally begin to restore themselves to a state of harmony.

Hot towels are gently applied to your feet, preparing you for the reflexology portion of the session—grounding, soothing, and integrating the healing frequencies throughout your entire being.

Client’s report feeling lighter emotionally and very relaxed. When the body is relaxed and the nervous system regulated, healing has a perfect opportunity to take place.

Michelle's reflexology sessions are life changing ... literally! She has an inner knowing that allows her to dig deep - getting down to emotional issues that are impacting my body.
